Honestly, one of the best pizzas I have had anywhere in the world. I have had some delicious neapolitan pizza in places like Naples, sorrento, and Athens, but this has to be one of the best. If not, THE best Texture is perfect, customisation is great, staff are friendly, and the whole vibe here makes for an amazing experience I'd come back to Edinburgh just for this pizza GO HERE
Killer pizza!! #12 is badass! They don't have alcohol but he said I could go to safari lounge and bring back a beer...sure enough! Owner was very friendly and the pie came out fast!

Just pick any pizza from the menu, and you’re in for a treat. The Pizzeria in Abbeyhill is more of a takeaway with a small, cosy seating area. The atmosphere is perfect for those who enjoy an uncomplicated experience—order, eat, have a good chat, and go. It’s simple and perfect for a quick bite. Other Matto locations are a bit larger and offer that classic old-school restaurant/pizzeria vibe. Matto Pizza is an absolute must if you're looking for authentic Italian pizza in Edinburgh!
In Edinburgh’s pizza realm, a slice divine, Matto’s awaits, a taste so fine... no matter where you’re at in the city, this pizza is worth the drive. If you arrive and they tell you there’s a wait, sit down and get comfortable because this pizza is WORTH the wait. We ordered the specials number 2 pizza with apples, pecans, and goats cheese and this pizza is now in my top 5 best pizzas of all time. Simply the best ingredients, the best music, and super friendly and chill staff.
Everyone knows good pizza is all about the dough. These guys nailed the Neapolitan style with nice light, chewy and leopard spotted dough. Great toppings and the good quality dough prevents the cheese from sliding off. The fried pizza was also next level good. Great bang for your buck. We will be back soon Also, enjoyed watching these guys hustle when I came to pick up my pizza last night. Keep up the good work
Very good pizzas. I will be trying other propositions as well. Spinata, nduja and ricotta one is spot on! My partner tried marinara, and foccacia. Everything delish!
Cannot recommend this pizza enough!! Burrata salad was delicious and the pizza (crust, sauce, toppings) were ridiculously good. Flavor and chew on the crust was 10/10.
Super fire pizza the white base Hawaiian pizza with smoked pineapple - super dank. They even let me charge my phone behind the desk and showed me how to fix my broken charger. Customer service JUST LOVELY. Go get your pizza!
